Terms and Conditions

Section 1: Privacy and Data Protection

1. General Principles

1.1. Flour Mills of Nigeria is strongly committed to respecting the rights of its clients/consumers and users, including their rights to privacy and data protection. As part of this commitment, Flour Mills fully complies with its requirements under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019 (the Regulation).

1.2. The general principles of data processing, as set out in the Regulation are:

(a) Personal data shall only be collected and processed in accordance with specific, legitimate and lawful purpose consented to by the data subject; provided that:

  • (i) Further processing may be done only for archiving, scientific research, historical research or statistical purposes for the public interest;
  • (ii) Any person or entity carrying out or purporting to carry out data processing under the provision of this paragraph shall not transfer any personal data to any person.

(b) Personal data shall be adequate, accurate and without prejudice to the dignity of the human person.

(c) Personal data shall be stored only for the period within which it is reasonably needed.

(d) Personal data shall be secured against all foreseeable hazards and breaches such as theft, cyberattack, viral attack, dissemination, manipulations of any kind, damage by rain, fire or exposure to other natural elements.

1.3. The collection, processing and sharing of users' personal data is governed by our B2C Privacy and Data Protection Policy.

2. Data Collection

2.1. Flour Mills of Nigeria requires the following personal data from its customers/consumers in order to provide its services as relating to the Golden Penny NCP Buy & Win Campaign:

  • Telephone number
  • T&C Acceptance
  • Survey response data

3. Purposes for Collection and Processing of Data

3.1. Flour Mills of Nigeria processes customer/consumers' personal data only for the purposes set out in this contract, including:

  • Identifying the mobile application user
  • Allocating the appropriate reward based on user activities
  • Understanding user behaviours
  • Extracting mobile application usage insights
  • Serving the terms and conditions between Flour Mills of Nigeria and the customer/consumers

4. Data Security

4.1. Personal data collected by Flour Mills of Nigeria is stored only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in 3.1. Once no longer necessary, it is permanently deleted.

4.2. Flour Mills of Nigeria ensures data security through:

  • Hashing and encrypting all personal data before logging onto a distributed ledger system (blockchain)
  • Securing all personal data through a publicly traded cloud database management and security company

5. Sharing Data

5.1. Flour Mills of Nigeria and its associated project vendor (Chekkit Technologies Ltd.) will not share customer/consumers' personal data with any third parties, save where required by law. Where demands or requests for personal data are received, Flour Mills of Nigeria shall ensure compliance with relevant legislation and provide only as much data as is strictly required.

6. Customer/Consumers' Data Rights

6.1. The following rights are in addition to those set out in Part Three of the Regulation.

6.2. Accessing Data: Customers/consumers can request a copy of their personal data by contacting Flour Mills of Nigeria's Data Protection Officer via crm@fmnplc.com or 09168345819. The data will be provided free of charge within 30 days.

6.3. Correcting Data: Customers/consumers can correct inaccurate data via the edit profile button on the platform.

6.4. Deleting Data: Customers/consumers can request deletion of their data under the following conditions:

  • Data is no longer necessary
  • Consent is withdrawn
  • Customer objects and no overriding legitimate grounds exist
  • Data has been unlawfully processed
  • Data must be erased for legal compliance

6.5. Complaints: Customers may file complaints via crm@fmnplc.com or 09168345819. Remedies may include correction, deletion, apology, or compensation.

6.6. Where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, Flour Mills of Nigeria may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act.

7. Campaign Duration

7.1. The campaign will last for 10 weeks from 15th September 2025 to 23rd November 2025.

Section 2: Participation and Rewards

1. Participation

1.1. Buy any pack of Golden Penny NCP Buy & Win, scan the QR Code to access the campaign micro-site.

1.2. Open to Nigerian residents only.

1.3. Excluded: employees, agencies, freelancers, contractors, immediate family members, or anyone professionally involved with the Promotion.

1.4. Accept T&Cs to access profile.

1.5. Participate via:

  • Scan WhatsApp QR & enter unique PIN
  • Answer survey for instant reward
  • Gather 16 packs to enter raffle
  • Weekly raffle draws
  • WhatsApp chatbot participation

2. Earning and Redeeming Rewards

2.1. Categories of Rewards

  • Daily Instant Reward: Airtime worth ₦100, ₦1000, ₦5000 (12m+ winners)
  • Weekly Reward: Includes refrigerators, ACs, TVs, gas cookers, washing machines, sedans, SUVs (Hyundai Creta), small appliances, kitchen makeovers, products, and cash prizes of ₦50,000

2.2. Qualification Criteria:

  • Must be 18+
  • Each promo pack has a unique code
  • Codes sent via WhatsApp for instant rewards
  • Weekly raffle requires submission of packs at redemption centers
  • Each validated submission earns an entry into draws

2.3. Prizes:

  • Claimed at redemption centers or nearest designated locations
  • Proof of ID required
  • Must claim within 3–5 days or forfeit
  • Non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative (except cash prizes)

3. Publicity and Identity of Winners

  • Winners may be required to participate in publicity
  • Names, images, and social media handles may be published worldwide in perpetuity

4. Use of Entry

  • Entries must not violate laws/regulations

5. Data Protection

  • Personal data will be collected/processed by Flour Mills and promotional partners
  • Data may be used for marketing with consent

6. Liability

  • Flour Mills reserves rights to disqualify fraudulent or abusive entries
  • Liability is excluded for indirect losses or harm, except where prohibited by law
  • No responsibility for costs/losses from postponed or cancelled events

7. Miscellaneous Rules

  • Flour Mills may withdraw/amend promotions if necessary
  • Real names must be used; proof of identity may be requested
  • Confidential information related to the promotion must not be disclosed
  • Participation implies agreement with all terms
